The Church

Situated in the centre of its community, a stone's throw from Kings' Norton Railway Station, The Cotteridge Church provides spiritual, pastoral, physical and mental support to people of all ages and backgrounds through it activities.

The Coffee Bar is open six days a week, entirely staffed by volunteers, offering a friendly welcome, this may be simply talking to those who come through our doors or providing a meeting place and serving reasonably priced drinks, snacks and meals to the local community and users of the Church. We want to make a difference to peoples lives. If you are interested in volunteering please visit the volunteering opportunities page

B30 Foodbank now operates from The Votteridge Friends Meeting House,  providing emergency food for vulnerable people in our community, feeding individuals and families throughout the year, the task relies on over 100 volunteers to collect and sort food: manage the warehouses and transportation; organise the twice weekly foodbank sessions, and provide the compassion and nourishment on which our clients depend.

Through our groups,  Saplings Stay and Play; Young Church; Boys' Brigade; Fellowship, Trips, Knit and Natter, Fun Events, we provide a warm welcome to families and their children, offering support and opportunities for people to meet. This encourages the growth of community cohesion.

The Day Centre for older adults operates from the church and is dementia friendly with fully qualified staff and includes activities, a three course meal and transport.

As Maya Angelou said, "A hero is really any person intent on making this a better place for all people" and that's exactly what The Cotteridge Church represents.
